Shipping Policy

PrimeX Liquidation operates a nationwide fulfillment network with a primary operations hub in Houston, Texas and additional regional warehouses to reduce transit times and freight costs. We specialize in palletized freight for liquidation inventory — including perfumes, apparel, shoes, and electronics — and we ship to commercial and residential addresses across the United States. This Shipping Policy explains how we prepare, quote, schedule, and deliver pallet shipments, buyer responsibilities, freight claims, and special handling options.

Overview and Service Area

PrimeX ships throughout the continental United States from multiple fulfillment centers. Orders may ship from the warehouse that holds the inventory for your specific lot; the shipping origin will be shown on your invoice and shipping confirmation. We do not currently offer routine international shipping; international shipments may be arranged by special request and will require separate export documentation and freight quotes.

Shipping Methods We Use

Because most of our inventory is palletized, we primarily use freight carriers and the following delivery methods:

  • Less‑Than‑Truckload (LTL) Freight — the standard method for single or multiple pallet shipments. LTL carriers deliver to commercial addresses and typically require a loading dock or forklift for unloading.
  • Full Truckload (FTL) — available for large orders or multiple pallets that fill a truck. Contact sales for FTL pricing and scheduling.
  • Curbside Delivery — driver will deliver to the curb at the delivery address. Buyer is responsible for unloading unless liftgate or white‑glove services are purchased.
  • Liftgate Service — recommended for residential or non‑dock locations; the carrier uses a hydraulic lift to lower pallets to the ground for an additional fee.
  • Inside Delivery / White‑Glove — available in select markets for an additional fee; includes delivery inside the building and placement in a specified room. Requires scheduling and may have weight/space limitations.
  • Local Pickup — available at select warehouses by appointment. Inspect pallets at pickup; bring order confirmation and photo ID.

How Shipping Costs Are Calculated

Freight charges depend on several factors:

  • Pallet count — number of pallets in the shipment.
  • Weight and dimensions — actual or dimensional weight used by carriers.
  • Origin and destination — distance and regional carrier rates.
  • Service level — LTL vs FTL, liftgate, residential delivery, inside delivery.
  • Accessorials — limited access, re‑delivery, re‑consignment, storage, or other carrier fees.

We provide freight estimates at checkout or upon request. Final freight charges for LTL shipments may be adjusted after carrier rating and may include accessorials incurred during delivery. Buyers are responsible for any additional carrier fees unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Lead Times and Transit Estimates

Processing time: Orders typically process within 1–3 business days after payment clears and inventory is allocated. For auction purchases, processing timelines are specified in the auction terms. Transit time estimates: Regional deliveries generally arrive within 2–5 business days; cross‑country shipments typically take 4–10 business days depending on carrier and route. Expedited freight may be available for an additional fee.

Scheduling and Delivery Windows

Once your shipment is scheduled, PrimeX will provide carrier contact information and tracking details. LTL carriers typically provide a delivery window (date and approximate time). For residential deliveries, carriers may call to schedule a delivery appointment. Please ensure the delivery contact is available and that the delivery site can accept palletized freight.

Buyer Responsibilities at Delivery

To ensure a smooth delivery, buyers should:

  • Provide an accurate delivery address and a daytime contact phone number.
  • Confirm whether the delivery location is residential or commercial and whether a loading dock is available.
  • Arrange for equipment (forklift, pallet jack) or assistance to unload pallets unless liftgate or white‑glove services are purchased.
  • Inspect pallets at delivery and note any visible damage on the carrier’s bill of lading before signing.
  • Retain all delivery paperwork and take photos of pallets and any damage for claims.

Local Pickup Procedures

Local pickup is available at select warehouses by appointment. To pick up an order you must:

  • Bring a printed or digital copy of your invoice and a government‑issued photo ID.
  • Arrive during your scheduled pickup window; late arrivals may require rescheduling.
  • Inspect pallets at the facility and note any concerns before leaving the premises.

Damaged Shipments and Freight Claims

If your shipment arrives damaged or items are missing, follow these steps to preserve your claim rights:

  1. Refuse delivery only if the damage is severe and the carrier agrees; otherwise accept delivery but note all visible damage on the carrier’s bill of lading before signing.
  2. Take clear photos of the pallet(s), packaging, and any damaged items immediately upon delivery.
  3. Contact PrimeX within 48 hours of delivery at returns@primexliquidation.com with photos, the carrier’s delivery receipt, and a description of the damage.
  4. PrimeX will assist in filing a freight claim with the carrier. Timely reporting and photographic evidence are essential for successful claims.

Failure to note damage on the carrier’s paperwork at delivery may limit the ability to recover freight claims. PrimeX will work with the carrier and buyer to resolve valid claims promptly.

Accessorial Charges and Additional Fees

Carriers may assess accessorial charges for services such as residential delivery, liftgate, limited access, re‑delivery, storage, or re‑consignment. These fees are the buyer’s responsibility unless PrimeX agreed in writing to cover them. PrimeX will notify buyers of known accessorials when possible, but final carrier charges are determined by the carrier.

Oversized, Hazardous, and Restricted Items

Certain items may be oversized, hazardous, or restricted and require special handling or carrier approval. Electronics, aerosols, batteries, and other regulated goods may have shipping limitations. PrimeX will disclose known restrictions in the listing and will notify buyers prior to shipment if special handling is required.

Refused Shipments and Non‑Delivery

If a buyer refuses delivery without prior authorization or fails to accept delivery, resulting in return to the origin warehouse, the buyer may be responsible for return freight, storage fees, and re‑consignment charges. Repeated refusal or failure to accept delivery may result in account suspension and collection of outstanding charges.

Storage and Demurrage

Carriers may charge storage or demurrage if shipments are not picked up or delivered within the carrier’s free time. Buyers are responsible for any storage or demurrage charges incurred due to delayed pickup or scheduling issues.

International Shipping and Export

PrimeX primarily ships within the United States. For international shipments, contact sales for a custom quote. International shipments require export documentation, and buyers are responsible for customs clearance, duties, taxes, and any import restrictions. PrimeX will provide commercial invoices and packing lists as required.

Insurance

Carrier liability for loss or damage is governed by the carrier’s terms and may be limited. Buyers may purchase additional freight insurance to protect the shipment’s full value. If you wish to insure a shipment, notify PrimeX prior to pickup so we can arrange coverage and include the cost in your freight quote.
